About Us

Our People

Our team has an impressive mix of commercial experience, technical and academic credentials.  We have many years of management appreciation across strategy, marketing, operations, technical and financial functions, as well as general management, drawn from senior client-side positions.

 

Quantium’s analytical resources include Fellows and Associates of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia, including Actuarial Prize winners and university medallists in Statistics.  We also have recipients of honours degrees in the fields of Economics, Financial Mathematics, Pure Mathematics, Computer Science and Engineering.

 

All of our consultants, planners and analysts have a broad commercial understanding and an appreciation that insights are only valuable if they lead to strategic change; and that strategy is only valuable if it can be implemented, maintained and measured.

Tony Davis - Director

Tony Davis - Director

Tony Davis is an experienced marketing strategist who prior to joining Quantium held senior positions in marketing and general management with blue chip brands in Australia and the UK. He is a Chartered Marketer, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Marketing (UK), and Chairman of the Board of the Australian Direct Marketing Association (ADMA).

 

Tony has led data-driven, brand and customer strategy for client companies for 15 years. He has held strategic and P&L responsibilities within retail financial services and healthcare companies and has experience across telecommunications, publishing and utilities.

 

He was the co-founder of London Business School’s Innovation Exchange and is published widely, often speaking on the subjects of marketing strategy, CRM and financial accountability.

Adam Driussi - Director

Adam works closely with clients in a broad range of industries on issues such as pricing, competitor    intelligence, media mix optimisation and customer value management. He speaks regularly on topics        such as pricing and media optimisation, marketing analytics and using data to help inform strategy.

 

Adam holds a Bachelor or Economics (Actuarial Studies), is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia and is a Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australasia. He has published a range of papers to actuarial conventions and has served as the Institute of Actuaries Chief Examiner in General Insurance. Prior to co-founding Quantium, Adam was a Partner at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu where he led the firm’s insurance pricing practice.

 


Greg Schneider - Director

Greg Schneider co-founded The Quantium Group after creating and leading the customer analytics practice at Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu. Greg holds a BSc in Statistics and Actuarial Science and is an Associate of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

 

With over 15 years of experience running the technical divisions in leading organisations, both in Australia and the UK, Greg brings a proven ability to embed sophisticated analytical solutions into day to day business operations. Greg has been at the forefront of applying actuarial techniques to marketing problems in many industries including banking, insurance, media, energy and health.


David Isaacs - Principal

David Isaacs is a senior member of the Quantium team having joined the business at its inception.  He both runs our Brisbane office and contributes to the running of the business generally, with a particular focus on advanced statistical modelling and risk analysis processes.

 

He joined Quantium from Trowbridge Deloitte, originally graduating from The Australian National University in 1997 with a Bachelor of Science with First Class Honours in Pure Mathematics. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries of Australia.

 

David has experience in a wide range of industries including Insurance, Banking, Telecommunications, Financial Services, Utilities and Construction.  His strong analytical, technical and commercial experience has led to the development of sophisticated modelling techniques used by many of our clients to enhance their business management and performance.


Karl Marshall - Principal

Karl Marshall leads Quantium’s Insurance Risk Management (IRM) practice.  He is a senior general insurance actuary and an Appointed Actuary. Before joining Quantium in 2007, Karl was Chief Actuary, General Insurance at Promina.

 

Karl’s areas of expertise include reserving, capital management and modelling, reinsurance analytics & strategy, financial modelling & planning, risk management and pricing strategy. Karl regularly advises Boards and senior management across a wide range of actuarial and strategic matters.

 

Karl has outstanding experience in applying rigorous quantitative methods across a wide range of business applications including Automated Valuation Models (AVMs), mathematical tools used in the assessment and valuation residential properties.


Caroline Stevenson - Principal

Caroline Stevenson is another key member of our team, bringing extensive experience in pricing and price optimisation. In fact Caroline has been instrumental in developing Quantium’s offering in price optimisation outside of the general insurance industry.

 

Since joining Quantium, Caroline has led a number of projects for clients including Virgin Money, ClearView, MBF and Zurich in areas such as customer segmentation, media optimisation and strategic pricing. She has also managed significant and complex price optimisation projects for both AAMI and Apia Insurance.

 

Caroline is a qualified and experienced actuary, with a Bachelor of Science/Arts majoring in pure mathematics and statistics from the University of Sydney.


Chris Walton - Managing Partner Fidelity

Chris Walton – Managing Partner Fidelity

 

Chris brings significant media and marketing expertise to The Quantium Group, having previously worked at the marketing communications conglomerate WPP for 12 years. He teamed up with Quantium to launch Fidelity Communications in 2009 where he now holds the position of Managing Partner.

 

Previous positions include being CEO of media agencies Mindshare and Maxus in Australia and prior to that China. He has extensive experience across the APAC region having also been a regional director of Mindshare. Chris commenced his agency life as a Strategic Planner at Saatchi & Saatchi in London.

 

Chris brings almost 20 years experience to the group, having worked across all of the major product categories including FMCG, Financial Services, IT & Computing, Sport, Travel and Luxury, and is passionate about understanding more about the effectiveness media has on driving sales and leveraging such insights for his client's benefit.
